Online entrepreneurship programme for children aged 10 to 13

What if your child could learn, in a practical way, how an idea can become a small business project?

Pequenos Empreendedores is a live online programme, delivered in Brazilian Portuguese, created for children aged 10 to 13 who want to develop creativity, autonomy, organisation skills and real-life financial education basics.

Across 8 live Zoom sessions, each child is guided step by step through the creation of their first small entrepreneurial project. They learn how to think about an idea, identify a target audience, calculate costs, set a price, understand profit, communicate responsibly and present their project.

More than simply talking about money, the programme helps children understand how to plan, organise and put an idea into action.

What will the child build?

During the programme, each child will develop a simplified business plan adapted for children, supported by printable PDF worksheets and guidance during the sessions.

The child will be guided to answer practical questions such as:

• What do I want to sell or offer?
• Who is my product or service for?
• How much can I sell it for?
• What is left after costs?
• How can I promote it?

By the end of the programme, the child will have a more structured project, including a name, an idea, a target audience, a price, a goal and a presentation.

How does it work?

The programme takes place online, live, via Zoom.

Each session lasts 30 minutes and focuses on one practical step of the project. The goal is for the child to progress gradually, without overload, making one important decision in each class.

Final project: Feirinha Kids

As the closing activity of the programme, a final practical event called Feirinha Kids is planned, allowing children to put into practice what they have learned.

Feirinha Kids will be an educational, family-oriented and supervised activity. The goal is to allow children to present their projects, practise price setting, understand costs and profit, communicate their idea and experience customer interaction.

Feirinha Kids organisation fee

Participation in Feirinha Kids will involve an organisation fee of:

€75 per participating child

This fee will be charged separately, only after the activity has been confirmed.

The amount contributes to the shared costs of Feirinha Kids, such as booking or renting the space, general organisation, basic setup, support materials, shared decoration, cleaning and other expenses required for the event.

Individual costs related to each child’s products, materials, packaging, ingredients, labels, printed items or anything they wish to present or sell remain the responsibility of the family.

Who is this programme for?

Pequenos Empreendedores is designed for children aged 10 to 13 who:

• enjoy creating ideas;
• are curious about money, sales and small business projects;
• can follow a 30-minute online session;
• have basic reading and writing autonomy;
• enjoy practical activities, worksheets and challenges;
• want to learn in a light, creative and organised way.

Children outside this age range may be considered after prior assessment.

Why is this programme different?

Pequenos Empreendedores is not a theoretical class about money.

It is a practical, guided and child-friendly experience where children learn by doing: choosing an idea, thinking about customers, calculating costs, setting a price, organising their presentation and preparing for a real-life experience at Feirinha Kids.

The programme is led by a professional with a degree in Economics, with a focus on children’s financial education and entrepreneurship in a playful, simple and accessible way.

The aim is not to turn children into “mini-adults”, but to help them develop important notions of creativity, responsibility, organisation, communication, autonomy and decision-making.

Feirinha Kids is part of the educational proposal as a final practical activity, but its organisation depends on practical feasibility and a minimum number of participants.
